Gives family portraits a whole new meaning

I was scrolling through facebook when i came across this image. I loved it instantly as I’m actually fascinated by the history of Victorian death photos. Often it was the only time a person was photographed. It wasn’t creepy to anyone back then. It’s interesting because if you’re ever in an antique store that has old photos, you can usually find one amongst them. They are hard to tell at times, but usually the stand holding up the body is a dead giveaway (pun intended)
