The Murphy’s

Two men were sitting alongside one another at Murphy’s Pub in London. After for a short time, one lad takes a look at the other and says, ‘I can’t help but think, from listening to you, that you’re from Ireland’

The other lad reacts gladly, ‘Yes, that I am!’

The first says, ‘So am I! Where about from Ireland may you be?’

The other lad answers, ‘I’m from Dublin, I am.’

The first reacts, ‘So am I!’

‘Mother Mary. Furthermore, what road did you live on in Dublin ?’

The other lad says, ‘A flawless little region it was. I lived on McCleary Street in the old central part of town.’

The first says, ‘Faith and it’s a little world. So did I! So did I! Furthermore, to what school would you have been going?’

The other lad answers, ‘Well now, I went to St. Mary’s, obviously.’

The first gets truly excited and says, ‘So did I. Let me know, what year did you graduate?’

The other lad answers, ‘Well, now, how about we see. I graduated in 1964.’

The first shouts, ‘The Good Lord must be smiling downward on us! I can barely trust our good fortunes at twisting up in the same place today evening time. Would you be able to trust it, I graduated from St. Mary’s in 1964 my own self!’

About this time, Vicky strolls up to the bar, takes a seat and requests a beverage.

Brian, the barman, walks over to Vicky, shaking his head and murmurs, ‘It will be a long night tonight.’

Vicky asks, ‘Why do you say that, Brian?’

‘The Murphy twins are drunk again.’
