Yesterday i was working in kilarney…its one of the most beautiful places in Ireland. The scenery is picture perfect with amazing views as far as the eye can see.

At work i took really sick, i felt so nauseous, dizzy and a feeling like i was going to collapse which was quickly followed by diarrhea. Their is nothing as bad as feeling that sick so far away from home. I didn’t get home until 3.00 am which meant i had worked 17 hours so too top it all off i was exhausted.

I went to the doctor 1st thing this morning he diagnosed me with neurovirus. When i heard it i got a fright i thought it was something to do with the brain thankfully i was wrong.
Norovirus is a very contagious virus that causes vomiting and diarrhea. People of all ages can get infected and sick with norovirus. Norovirus spreads easily! People with norovirus illness can shed billions of norovirus particles. And only a few virus particles can make other people sick.

Norovirus causes inflammation of the stomach or intestines. This is called acute gastroenteritis.

A person usually develops symptoms 12 to 48 hours after being exposed to norovirus. Most people with norovirus illness get better within 1 to 3 days.

If you have norovirus illness, you can feel extremely ill, and vomit or have diarrhea many times a day. This can lead to dehydration, especially in young children, older adults, and people with other illnesses.

Symptoms of dehydration include:
  • decrease in urination
  • dry mouth and throat
  • feeling dizzy when standing up

Thankfully i got a sick cert for the rest of the week so im in bed now relaxing and watching hot in Cleveland. Im looking forward to spending the day in bed tomorrow.
